Each host country of the ADB Annual Meeting generates its own logo relevant to the city or the theme. For this year’s meeting, the Philippines came up with a vibrant logo inspired by its national flower, the Sampaguita. It alludes to the beauty of the nation, awaiting the delegates as they explore the country.
The logo also forms an image of people joining hands to represent a vision of connecting towards a common goal of inclusive development.
“When you come to Manila this year, we hope you will understand that it is more than just an inspired logo design. It is given life by a nation working together to achieve a just and nurturing economy,” Finance Secretary Dominguez III said.
ADB AM gathers the Bank’s Governors from member countries to provide guidance on the institution’s administrative, financial, and operational directions. It is also a venue for networking, constituency-building, and public relations both for ADB and the host country. It is usually participated in by finance and economic planning ministers, senior government officials, representatives of multilateral development banks, investments bankers, representatives of non-government organizations, and members of the media, among others.
